Nataliya Hines
“My work explores the creation of meaning—how myth, memory, and invention shape our emotional understanding of truth. I’m always trying to find the boundary where history becomes parable, and where the sacred meets the artificial; where a machine might resemble a ghost. My paintings and digital works are built around narrative figures who exist somewhere between the old world and the one we're inventing now.”
Nataliya Hines is a painter, printmaker, and digital artist based in the New York Metro area. She started her professional studio practice in 2017 after concluding her interdisciplinary studies in printmaking and art history at SUNY Purchase and the Institut d’Études Supérieures des Arts. In addition to her studio practice, she works as a freelance artist and designer, specializing in both traditional and digital media. A significant portion of this work has involved providing cover design and visual concept services for musicians and composers, including Haralabos [Harry] Stafylakis’s JUNO-nominated debut album Calibrating Friction in 2023.
